Dhaiba Atika - Lights, waves and people
"Film - it is an adventure and i want to think twice before I jump."
Tell us about yourself.
I am 30 years old, from Agadir Morocco . I actually design jewelry and plan on opening my own jewelry shop, meanwhile I sell them at friend's shop .
When and how did the film journey begin for you?
I grew up in film camera generation. When I was a kid, we had a Polaroid camera at home. That was the moment when cameras began to fascinate me.
I started to collect all sort of cameras I could lay my hands on . My magical camera "28mm" was the first precious one. I would stop everything to catch moments until a french friend gave me a Canon eos500 two years ago. One year after that, I managed to buy an Olympus OM10.
I have been shooting film since then.
What makes me shoot film, hmm it is a unique feeling when I show up with a vintage camera, and because I cannot see the outcome of my shooting right away and every shot is precious and unique for me. I have limited shots; it is an adventure and i want to think twice before I jump.
What Could we always find in your gear bag?
