Tell us about yourself.

I am 32 years old and I am from Byron Bay, Australia - a small town on the east coast. I am a freelance photographer and English language tutor.

What first interested you in analog photography?

My father’s Nikon F2 camera - I started using it when I was in high school and that’s when I really became interested in the process of film photography. One of my first jobs when I finished school was working in a one-hour photo lab as an assistant. Film photography has always been a part of my life in one way or another.

What camera makes you click?

Gosh, what a difficult question - there are so many! I started collecting compact camera’s about 3 years ago, and the one camera I’ve always been obsessed over is the Konica Big Mini - so I guess that’s it.

What do you focus on when shooting film?

Details, the little things. Fragments that are so much intertwined with your everyday life that you can overlook them.

What inspires you most?

Films and music, mostly. Other film photographers who I idolize. Most importantly I feel like I am such a beginner to photography and that’s what I like about it - I’m always learning.

Do you have a favorite analog photographer or website you would like to recommend?

Ren Hang, Lina Scheynius, Daniel Arnold and Petra Collins.

Do your photos reveal your feelings?

Always.
