Heavy backpack by Wojciech Nowicki

Ever since I can remeber I have been passionate about nature and outdoors and my passion for photography grew from those two naturally. First simply as a form of saving memories and cataloging little accomplishments. It grew much further. Now it is my safe space, a space to be introvert. It's freedom of expression, ability to show my perspective. It keeps being my way of developing my creative processes.

This is the story of Wojciech Nowicki—a journey through towering mountains, bitter cold, and relentless winds, with an analog camera tucked inside an already heavy backpack. It’s a tale of two passions merging: ski touring and film photography, and Wojciech’s invitation to take you along the rugged peaks of Norway’s stunning mountain ranges. Every photograph he shares carries a personal meaning or holds a story. Perhaps it was the treacherous climb with near-zero visibility, or the rare beauty of a sunset after two long months of Arctic polar night.

Through his lens, you’ll step into unfamiliar territory, but you’ll also catch a glimpse of the world as Wojciech experiences it—an enthusiast of both ski touring and photography, who finds his deepest sense of freedom far from civilization, surrounded by nature’s raw beauty.

His trusted gear? A Nikon F-501 or Nikon FE2, accompanied by a Nikkor 50mm 1.8 or 100mm 2.8 lens. For film, he prefers Kodak Ektar 100 or Vision 250D. And when the cold becomes truly unforgiving, Wojciech turns to his FE2—a camera that, even in freezing temperatures, can operate flawlessly without the need for batteries.
