Tell us about yourself.

I am 25 years old, I am from Adelaide, Australia, but I currently live in Melbourne, Australia. I study my masters fulltime and work a soul-crushing admin job in the HQ of a department store.

When and how did the film journey begin for you?

About a year ago when I was living in Seoul, South Korea I was introduced to a small community of people shooting with the format and through exploring local areas that specialized in selling and processing film I came to learn and love the format.

What Could we always find in your gear bag?

A Olympus OM-2n, Zuiko 50mm 1.4 and 28mm 2.8 lenses, a few of filters, T20 flash and a couple rolls of ektar 100.

What camera makes you click?

I really dig the OM system and will be investing in an OM-4ti in the near future.

Who are your models? How do you interact with them before shooting?

As most of my work is journalistic most models are unaware of their temporary occupation. I try to remain as inconspicuous as possible. At other times when I need to know more about the subject I will engage in conversation with them to gain a better grasp of how I should be trying to capture their image.

What inspires you most?

Discovering how others live their lives. Through photography I hope to gain a better understanding of why people are the way they are and project that to a wider audience to promote further understanding.

Do you have any advice for film photographers out there?

Find your local film community and get involved in any way you can.

Do you think you will still be shooting film in 20 years?

I would like to imagine teaching my son and/or daughter the format in the (distant) years to come.
