"I like catching things that surround me, without interfering, keeping everything natural."
Tell us about yourself.
My name is Marian Adochitei, I am 34 years old, born in Piatra Neamt, Romania and I'm an actor.
When and how did the film journey begin for you?
Around 2011 I got my hands on a Zenit purely out of the blue and then I couldn't get my hands off of it til I finished the roll that was inside. I fell for analog that very moment.
What Could we always find in your gear bag?
Nikon fe2 + ultron 40mm f2 , and Contax 159 + yashica ML or Zeiss, Film Paradies 200/36
What camera makes you click?
Metal bodies! Must have a film winder, as small as possible, full manual except exposure measuring. I'm ok with giving up manually measuring exposure than losing the moment.
For how long have you been documenting summers on film?
Since 2012. I live by the sea and when summer comes it's like an explosion. Lots of things and moments to capture in photographs.
Do you use models in your photos or just people that surround you?
I never use models. I like catching things that surround me, without interfering, keeping everything natural.
What inspires you most?
Life. Truth. Random things that happen while you take a walk. Colors. People. Geometry.
Do you have any advice for film photographers out there?
Find a camera that's "made for you" and try to keep it by your side all the time. The rest will come naturally.
