Meet Terry Magson: Telling Stories Through Music and Film Photography
Terry’s journey through Southeast Asia was documented on film, showing the unique atmosphere of the places and the people along the way.
Terry Magson is a musician from the Isle of Wight, known for his project—Puzzle Muteson. Photography is another essential part of his creative journey. For Terry, shooting film is an authentic process, one that feels more valuable and connected to the moment. With only a limited number of shots on each roll, every frame feels purposeful. He enjoys the tactile ritual of loading the film, the anticipation of development, and even the unique smell that comes with it—all of which make the process feel like an art form in itself.
In 2017, Terry traveled to Southeast Asia with 50 rolls of Agfa Vista film. His plan was to spend three to six months immersed in the vibrant chaos of cities like Bangkok, Saigon and Hong Kong. Fascinated by their unique energy and character, these bustling cities became the perfect canvas for his street photography.
