[NSFW] Revisiting Redscale by Cameran.Click
Check out these amazing redscale shots using different gear and techniques.
After years of shooting digital, I've slowly transitioned into shooting film; I'm in love the the cadence of framing, metering, and taking a shot and the grounding experience of holding a developed negative or print in your hands.
I've always enjoyed experimenting with different film stocks and using more "unique" stocks for creative looks that stand out (i.e. Lomochrome Purple, Aerochrome, etc.). Recently, I've taken a liking to shooting redscale film because of the warmth and tonality of the images that I've been able to create.
These shots were taken over the past six months using Cinestill's new limited REDRUM 120 film stock. I'm not sure if the release was planned or if this was clever marketing to cover up a mistake in manufacturing. Either way, I can't complain!
The 6x7 shots were taken on my friend Josh's Mamiya RZ67 with the 110mm f2.8 lens at ISO 100 and the 6x6 shots were taken on my Bronica SQ-A with the 150mm lens and an S-18 extension tube at ISO 200.
In the next year, I'm looking into hand-rolling some film so I can try redscaling film stocks that aren't commercially available in that format!
