"I believe that analog photography has a soul." Tell us about yourself. I'm now 29 years. :) I was first a journalist and the head of museum projects in Gorky Park in Moscow after. Yet, my true passion was always analog photography. In the autumn of 2016 I quit my job to be film photographer. When and how did the film journey begin for you? At university, where I studied journalism, I met my friends and we started to be interested in analog photography. I bought my first camera in 20

Film feels right for Nikola Škarec

"It just feels right shooting on film!" Tell us about yourself. I'm Nikola. I was born in 1998 and grew up, surrounded by nature, in a small village near Zagreb, Croatia. What was the first thing that interested you in film photography? I always wanted to capture the things I thought are worth keeping. Now I use photography as a way to express myself. My recent work is based on portraits, even though I would like to do more nature and minimalist schemes. The thing that got me into

Teo and Anca: Long time no see - by Marian Chinciusan

"Hasselblad and Olympus, my two favourite cameras for two great friends" About the shoot: Teo and Anca are bffs. But they live in different parts of the world. One in London, UK and the other in Cluj-Napoca, Romania. So after a long period being apart, they met in Cluj and wanted to keep this memory. So they were pretty excited when I told them to go out and shoot some film in a really light mood. So one of them had the idea to go out for a quick picnik just above the city. They packed

"She's young, pretty, and dynamic" Meet Damaris. She's a student preparing to become a nurse. We had a short photoshoot in a forest almost at sunset. I used an Olympus OM-1 with Zuiko 50mm 1.8 lens and Agfa Vista 200 iso film, pushed to 400. I developed the film at home using Tetenal Color Kit and scanned it using an Epson V370 scanner. Here are the results. You can find more of my work here: Instagram Flickr 500px

"Olympus OM-1 for 35mm. It's the one I connected with." Tell us about yourself. Hello, my name is Marian, I'm 29 and I work as a web-developer. I grew up in small town in Romania called Tarnaveni and now I live in Cluj-Napoca. That's where I shoot the most. When and how did the film journey begin for you? I think it started about 2 years ago, when I shot my first rolls of film using an old Yashica 35mm SLR. I liked it, but I felt I needed to do more than just shoot and take the film t

Live Music & Live Photos

Beside photography, my other passion in life has always been music. I also ended up spending quite a few years of my early life playing in a few bands in Italy, mainly on a strict Fender Stratocaster/Marshall diet. But that's another story, so let's move on. So, in terms of music, what better city than London to go out and watch a concert almost every night? Actually, that was not the reason I moved there, but it did help a bit. I soon came to realise that was the combination of music & phot

Expired Streets On Expired colors

I have been a professional photographer for sometime now, and some of you know me well enough to know I tried well hard enough to both like and believe in digital. However, things did not turn out the way they probably should have. Basically, the more I tried, the more I disliked it. It's now been (also) quite sometime I have been teaching photography; all I try to do is to make both sure and clear the differences of those mediums to my students. Some of them will catch that right away, other
