Cluj-Napoca
After Dark with Oana
A night walk on Cinestill 800 — neon, halation, and a friend who's entirely at home in front of the lens. Shot on a Pentax Z1-P with the 43mm Limited.
90's ballin with Daniel Bocai
The 90s aesthetic is making a strong comeback in today's fashion and culture, and I wanted to capture that vibe through film photography. For this shoot, I focused on capturing the old-school, hip-hop, American street life aesthetic that is so iconic to that era.
Fujica ST-901 and Kodak Ultramax 400 - by Marian Chinciusan
The Fujica ST-901 is a classic camera with interchangeable lenses and a manual focus system, making it perfect for capturing stunning portraits with a vintage feel.
Out for groceries by Daniel Bocai
With this series I wanted to showcase a very specific Romanian aesthetic: shopping with your grandparents at the local market.
SUSPIRIA by Daniel Bocai
My name is Daniel Bocai, but most people call me Dane. I’m 20 and I’m from Cluj-Napoca, Romania. I am studying Cognitive Sciences and Artificial Intelligence in the Netherlands, although I’m not sure I’ll keep this path in the future as photography is actually the thing I’m passionate about. I enjoy traveling, discovering new places and absorbing inspiration from everywhere I can, and of course, shooting pictures whenever I find the chance. As a kid, I was always drawn to photography and alway
Hasselblad + 35mm film by Marian Chinciusan
I just found these 3D printer project files for a film adapter and thought "I should give it a try!"
A walk in the park with Anca - by Marian Chinciusan
"I was trying to connect with my Hasselblad" The story behind the shots. Well the story behind these shots is a simple one. I was trying to connect with my Hasselblad 500c/m and Anca is always a good subject for photos. She's not camera shy, can look straight into the camera and leave the impression that there's nobody taking pictures. She's natural. So after I got my Hasselblad and shot a couple of rolls with it, I didn't get the look I wanted. I wanted something that I've seen on photog
Teo and Anca: Long time no see - by Marian Chinciusan
"Hasselblad and Olympus, my two favourite cameras for two great friends" About the shoot: Teo and Anca are bffs. But they live in different parts of the world. One in London, UK and the other in Cluj-Napoca, Romania. So after a long period being apart, they met in Cluj and wanted to keep this memory. So they were pretty excited when I told them to go out and shoot some film in a really light mood. So one of them had the idea to go out for a quick picnik just above the city. They packed

Julian Morris: Expired Magic
"I have never owned a digital camera." Tell us about yourself. I’m 31, born and raised in Constanta, Romania (coast of the Black Sea), now living in Cluj-Napoca, Transylvania for the past 5 years. Currently having a full time job in IT, and making 2 weekly electronic music radioshows on BIN Radio. I consider myself quite a technical guy, and I read a lot of material about photography in order to understand how each thing works and how every detail influences the final exposure, but exp
Skinny snow by Crista Oiegas
Snow and skin combined. Winter and summer, two seasons many of us wish to combine. Just imagine what it would be like if you could go to the beach, swimming, sun bathing for a week and the next one you'd be "on top of the world" at over 3000 m altitude, free riding your way down. Since this is only a dream for now, I did a shooting with one of my dear friends, Oana. We took advantage of a rainy day, a roll of Ilford Delta ISO 400, a sexy swim suite, ski boots and let' s not forget my love
Damaris by Marian Chinciusan
"She's young, pretty, and dynamic" Meet Damaris. She's a student preparing to become a nurse. We had a short photoshoot in a forest almost at sunset. I used an Olympus OM-1 with Zuiko 50mm 1.8 lens and Agfa Vista 200 iso film, pushed to 400. I developed the film at home using Tetenal Color Kit and scanned it using an Epson V370 scanner. Here are the results. You can find more of my work here: Instagram Flickr 500px
